Last night my husband and I were awaken by a tick, tick,....tick, tick, tick repeated over and over again!  Trying to focus, I was going through possible senaorios - did my recorder come on automatically to Yellow Rail?  No, it would have played once and shut off.  Cricket?  No, never heard one like that.  My parrot?  No, I trieed moving toward it and left the sound.  The sound was coming from outside my bedroom window.  When my husband turned the light on it stopped and started again for about 3 more minutes after the light went off.  Believe it or not - I had a Yellow Rail in the yard last night!
