Lisa and I met Peter and Kimberly Kaestner just after 6am Saturday and headed out for a day of spring migration birding in Harford, Baltimore and Montgomery counties. We spent the bulk of the day, 7 hours, at Susquehanna State Park. The group tallied a combined 25 warbler species, including good counts of Canada and single Cerulean, Tennessee, Blabkburnian, Cape May and Blue Winged.

A brief stop at Soldiers Delight added Prairie to the list.

We ended our day at Meadowside Nature Center, which was fairly quiet, frustrating our crazed quest for 30 warbler species in a day. But we had good looks at two Swainsons Thrush and heard a calling Grey-Cheeked Thrush.
