Hi --
We actually are up to our ears in House Wrens, we have two males at opposite ends of the garden singing (as usual) and recently one started up in an adjoining neighbor's yard for a few days but not sure if he stuck around. Have had reasonable numbers out birding as well. However they were LATE this year!
We also have a Carolina Wren nest with young in an old (dry!) aquarium in the garage, the third year in a row they've nested here.

Same situation over here in Talbot County. No regular visiting by Hummers.
I have seen three individual visits to my feeder - spread out over the past
month. Also saw three hummers out in fields when birding in the region. In
prior years a pair has taken residence in early May and been regular
visitors for several weeks.
Regarding House Wrens - close to the same story. I have seen three at
various sites while out birding, but none taking residence here at home.

Subject: [MDOSPREY] hummers
Hi --
We also have had NO hummers in our garden (blooming trumpet vine and native
honeysuckle) although a fellow who lives next to Wheaton Regional Park and
got his feeder up early said he had a bunch all together about two weeks ago
and still some now (although we've yet to see one there).
Very low numbers of neotropical migrants this year at any of our local
sites...
