A quick check of EBird data does not show a marked drop-off in RT
hummingbird sightings in MD this year as compared to the previous 4 years,
though in Howard County there is a slight drop. What the data does show
clearly is that the migration this year is later by at least one week
compared to the previous five. In spite of the torrid weather in March,
April proved to be cooler and with winds that were completely unfavorable
to migration, at least in the Mid-Atlantic.

At my house, there is only one house wren in the neighborhood, and no wood
thrushes or great crested flycatchers. And the hummingbirds that were
present have since disappeared.
