For the last few years a white Domestic Goose has been living at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens (DC) with the sedentary Canada Goose flock, and last year it raised a hybrid gosling.  This winter it disappeared and this one looks quite familiar!  No way to say for sure, but who knows, maybe he's back?

Subject: [MDOSPREY] Sandhill Crane and odd goose near Swains Lock C&O Canal

On Friday June1st we had a flyover Sandhill Crane calling about a mile west of Swains Lock.
Saturday on the canal itself we found a odd goose which appears to be a hybrid Canada/domestic goose?
Here is a link to its picture if anyone has a better idea of what it is.
