Hi Everyone:

My understanding is that Norm Saunders has paid for MDOsprey listserv account out of his own pocket for some time now.  I believe that the listserv account limits the number of folks that can be on the list.  Many man thanks to Norm for doing this.

I believe that the time has come for MOS to have a social media presence just for the reasons that Jason mentions below.  More than half the adults in the United States now own a mobile or smartphone and close to half have some type of social media account (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.)

As a starting point, I would suggest MOS creates a Facebook group page which is not hard to do.   Obviously, this is something that needs to be discussed by the officers of MOS.   If no one else volunteers to do this, I would be glad to do this.

Just my two cents--Happy Birding!

Matt

Hi Everyone,

I am grateful to be on MDOsprey, but I know many people who would like to be on it, but can't because of the limited number of spaces available.  Is there any way to allow more (or unlimited) numbers of people to join MDOsprey?  Just in the last week I had three unrelated enthusiastic birders tell me they can't get on the list and seemed quite sad and disappointed.

I assume there are good reasons for this, but it just seems in this day and age of online everything, that this problem could be addressed...

Thanks,

Jason Berry
