I am passing this on at the request of Rick Hollis, who is unable to post
this himself since he is unable to attain membership in the list:

Friends

During most of the year I check the Osprey on line. But during the couple
of time of year I am back home, I am one of the people frustrated by my
inability to post. Here in my second home, Iowa, our list serve is paid for
by the Iowa Ornithologists' Union, an organization with far fewer members
than the MOS. We pay in the neighborhood of $500 per year to
http://www.a-listhosting.com/ , which seems not such a large expense.
Certainly the IOU feels it is a worthwhile expense. As of the last
subscription report I received IA-BIRD has 857 members.

Norm is to be thanked for all the work he has done of this over the year,
but it is time for the MOS [of which I am a member] to pony up and provide
this service to all MD birdwatchers.

Thanks for hearing my opinion

Rick Hollis
