I think Rick Hollis is making a good suggestion. I, too, have homes in two states, and I would be pretty frustrated if I were not able to post my sightings when I am back in Maryland. Whether through MOS or another organization, this listserv needs to be accessible to any active birder in Maryland who has information to post.
