I spent a couple of hours at Southwest Area Park this morning where the only species of note was my first-of-season PURPLE FINCH (male).
I decided on the way home to walk the loop at Milford Mill Park, mostly for the exercise, with low expectations of finding birds. I saw seven species of warbler, not bad for high noon, including a male HOODED WARBLER, male CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER, a quick glimpse of a BAY-BREASTED WARBLER, and seven BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLERS, four males and three females.
