Subject: [MDBirding] Six Cackling Geese, Governor Bridge, Prince George's County, 10/16

I got to Governor Bridge before sunrise this morning and therefore before
the flock of geese took off the big pond, and saw six Cackling Geese with
them. Five of them were in a tight knit group, and another was solitary.
They were joined by approximately 475 Canada Geese. Also interesting this
morning was the continued inundation of kinglets, especially Ruby-crowneds
- I "counted" 45 of them. If a magical census was taken of all the birds on
the property, I wouldn't blink if the number was three or four times that.
The only warblers I saw were a Common Yellowthroat and a Tennessee Warbler.
