Afternoon trip to NW Carroll County today. The highlights were 5 Northern Harriers, a silvery male and females/juveniles along Walnut Grove Road. There was also one Short-eared Owl at the Bullfrog Road location (nice to meet Jeff Culler there), and an Eastern Meadowlark along Piney Creek Road 1/2 mile north of Bowers Road. I saw several small flocks of Horned Larks but observed no other species mixed in.
