Subject: [MDBirding] 15 Mile Creek area of Black Hill Park

Hi everybody: I spent an hour this morning at first daylight before going
to work and hiked the trail at 15 Mile Creek off of W. Old Baltimore Rd..
There was quite a bit of waterfowl there:

Mallard (5)
Black Duck (7)
American Wigeon (4)
Gadwall (1)
Ring-necked Duck (65...all but 3 of them were males)
Bufflehead (22)
Ruddy Duck (9)
Canvasback (12)
Greater Scaup (1 female)
Common Merganser (20)
Hooded Merganser (15)

The woodland species I saw included Hairy and Pileated Woodpeckers, Brown
Creeper, Golden-crowned Kinglet and Hermit Thrush.

A very quick scan of Little Seneca Lake from the Rt. 121 causeway produced
nothing new that was not reported in the previous few days.
