Harry is correct. When someone doesn't want you around, legal or not, right or not, they will find a way to intimidate you to get you to move on. If you aren't intimidated by them, the police can come and tell you to leave even if you are on public property. 99 % of the time you are the more reasonable person, but the police don't want to keep getting complaints from a property owner, so they will tell you it is unsafe to be parked on the shoulder of the road, so move it! Its just the way that it is, right or wrong.

Why so many Farmers are fearful of someone looking at birds in there 1000 acre farm is beyond me, but it probably has something to do with the buzz of the "environmentalists" causing all kinds of problems on other farms and for fear of a law suit from the EPA or MDE, they would rather not have anyone looking. What we don't want is to give citizens the impression that Birders are a bunch of; I will do what ever I want to do kind of people. That puts us in a shameful category in my opinion.
