Raven calling at Pine Knob Road

A Raven in these parts would be a nice, although perhaps not unexpected,
find since their range is expanding. However, I would be uncomfortable
basing the identification on call alone. I heard a Raven a few years ago
near Fort Smallwood park. I chased it, but all I ever saw was a flock of
Fish Crows. A year or so later on the Bowie CBC, Bob Whitcomb came in at
the end of the day and told me that he just had a similar experience. We
have both heard many Ravens in several states.

I asked around quite a bit about this at the time and was told (by a
presumably reliable, but no longer remembered source) that Fish Crows do
indeed have a call that can be mistaken for a Raven.

Does anyone have any hard evidence to back up or contradict these two
anecdotes?
