Seneca: Saturday, I was watching an Osprey circle fairly low over the
far shore (Virginia) when a Short Eared Owl flew into my vision in the
same area as the Osprey. The owl alternately circled and landed on a
tree along the shoreline. I was standing on the bridge over the creek
next to the parking lot at Seneca and they were almost directly cross
     the river.

Blackwater: If you enjoy Bald Eagles, Sunday was a good time to be a
Blackwater. They were doing aerial acrobatics all over the place. We
must have seen about 50 Bald Eagles during the day. The Snow Geese
were too far out for me to scan.

just thought I would mention -- About a month ago before I became a
posting member, I saw four Harlequin Ducks resting on the rocks behind
the motel on the Ocean City side of the inlet (Northwest corner of
inlet). I got beautiful (close) views of 3 adult males and one
     immature male.

And thanks to Phil Davis for updating the status of the Gyrfalcon.

     Good birding, Dan Eberly
