Actually, I wrote her a very long, very informative message (sent to her directly, as requested in the original message), and offering both direct assistance and contacts. As to the other message responding to mine (saying that the teachers of the learning disabled often referred to themselves as learning disabled teachers - what you say to one another is one thing. What you say to the outside world is another. I still have to wonder, though, if the teachers recognize the error or if they just don't know any better. Considering the atrocious writing produced by juniors and seniors at the University of Maryland, I have to believe that there are many, many teachers out there who just don't know any better.
