MD Birders,

There were still some migrants in the Upper Watt's Branch stream valley in
Rockville today (9/30):

Sapsucker 2
Creeper 1
Winter Wren 1
G-c kinglet 5
R-c Kinglet 1
Swainson's Thrush 1
Hermit Thrush 1
Wood Thrush 1
Magnolia W. 1
B-t Blue W. 5 (1 male)
B and w W. 1
Ovenbird 1
Yellowthroat 1
White-thr Sparrow 1

Yesterday a Wood Thrush slammed into our deck door and knocked itself silly
for about 15 minutes. But it finally shook it off and flew into the woods.
Lucky thing, because 5 minutes later our fledged-locally-this-year immature
Red-shouldered Hawk landed on the deck railing but was gone in 15 seconds.
