VIRGINIA SOCIETY OF ORNITHOLOGY (VSO)

The 1998 December field trip will be held in the Northern Neck
region of the state. (VA) The numbers of species and wintering
waterfowl being reported from the area have been very surprising.
And, the numbers of eagles along the Rappahannock River and
its environs equal or surpass many of the other premier eagle
haunts in the state.

VA 22443. Phone: (804) 224-0404. To get the VSO discount
rate of $45.15 (incl. tax) reservations were supposed to be in
by November 15th. They "may" still give it to you if you state that
you are with VSO and would like that rate. Call right away!

To reach the Inn, follow Rt. 205 through Colonial Beach to the
stop light.. At the stop light, turn left onto Colonial Avenue and
go to the end of the road. Days Inn is on the right and overlooks
the beach.

species will be held at the Dockside Restaurant Saturday
evening. It will be held after dinner, followed by a program by

sheets for field trips, maps, restaurants list, & other info will be
