1987 was a bumper year for Pine Siskins, here in Colesville at any rate.  
We had over 60 Siskins at our feeders at one time that year and virtually 
none since.  This in support of your solar activity theory...

Regarding our year list...we're just a tad over 450 for the year so it looks 
like 500 is out of the question (the bank is busted for the remainder of 
1998...grin).
