All -

It's that time ...

#1: Kelp Gull.

Jane Kostenko is pulling together all her notes and documentation on the
Kelp Gull for submission to the MD/DC Records Committee. To date, however,
I've received ... nada.

I've collected everything that's been posted on the MD_Osprey, Marvadel,
Birdchat, and Birdwg01. I have also made b&w hardcopies of photos of the
gull that were posted on the web. The committee's policy, however, is to
not use indirectly submitted material (such as pulled off the Internet)
without the permission of the author. Field notes, sketches, original
prints, videos, and original or duplicate slides would be appreciated. Any
analysis is also welcome.

I would appreciate it if observers would start to provide me data so we can
build the file on this sighting ... so we can then begin the committee
circulation and review process expeditiously. If you've posted details on
any of the listservers and are willing to allow that material to used in
the review process, either submit the material directly to me or send me a
message and let me know that we can use your previously posted material.
If you do plan to submit notes or documentation, but don't have them ready,
yet, please drop me a message so I know to not close the file until we
receive the material, or I bug you a few times.

#2 Slaty-backed Gull.

While we're at it, let's cast the net for the same information on the
Conowingo Dam Slaty-backed Gull. Again, I've received nothing, to date.

Thanks in advance for your support and cooperation.
