Steve,
	I had the opportunity to go for Kirtland's Warbler last summer.  We 
had a tour with the USFWS.  We did see the bird, although the day was 
miserable.  The land with the jack pine habitat that is necessary for their 
breeding is controlled by the USFWS.  I understand that it is an act of 
tresspassing to go on the land where to tours go.  Without being able to go 
here, your chances would be very slim.  One spot where they took us had a 
mile long trail through old growth pine before you got to the jack pine.  It 
was well hidden.  The other spot was directly on the side of a road, but was 
well marked with "Endangered Wildlife Habitat: No Tresspassing" signs.  But 
hey, it is always worth a shot.
