Pacific Loon seekers --

If you don't have a 2 1/2 year old and are not a regular "Rugrats" viewer,
the above title might not make much sense, but my wife says if the shoe
fits...

I have been able to con a friend of mine into attempting a boat trip to view
(and hopefully photograph) the Pacific Loon off Broad Creek. First mate Blom
and Ensign Hoffman will set sale at 10 am. If you happen to be at the
viewing location N of Bald Friar Road, from mid-morning on (and have a cell
phone), give me a call (although sending and receiving calls from the loon
spot is difficult, you might have to move slightly to get good reception).
I'll leave my phone on at 410-409-5777. This could help us locate the bird
on the open water or help you find it. I plan to be at Bald Friar early
Friday am to make sure it is in the area. Having seen it Sunday and Monday,
it can be very frustrating given the distance, sun, wind and waves. Looks
like weather Friday should be good.
