I am trying to track down information on the issue of feeding peanut butter to birds. This subject has long been controversial and the subject of discussions on many listservs. The information is for an article that will appear, eventually, in Bird Watcher's Digest. Most of what I have collected so far is anecdotal or relies on assumptions, although they may be right. I am specifically after any concrete evidence about the risks/benefits of feeding peanut butter. References to books websites, and articles will help. I am also interested in any personal experience and thoughts on the subject. Anyone whose personal material is used in the article will be queried for permission first and of course, credit will be given. PLEASE, reply to me personally rather than clutter up the list with a discussion that has undoubtedly been had before. I am cross posting this to a number of listservs, so many of you will see it more than once. My apologies. Thanks for your help.
