Jenny,
If you send for a catalog from Eagle optics in Wisc., they carry a few pairs
of their own (I don't know who makes them, but they are Eagle Rangers, in
various models/configurations). I know a few people who use the 8x42's, and
really love them. They are waterproof, nitrogen purged, phase-corrected, rubber
armored, with a fairly wide field and close focus, and they are priced right. I
thought of getting my wife the 8x32's (and still may), which sell for about
$359+shpg, and focus down to an incredible 3 feet! They also carry a very good
warranty.

Also, Eagle Optics carries the Pentax line that you are looking at, for a
very good price. If you buy from them, mention that you saw them on the MOS
web-site, and MOS will get 5% of the purchase price back. A win-win situation!
