Paul,
Some years back we had a male and female Summer Tanager coming to our
hanging peanut suet feeder. They were frequent visitors and never paid any
attention to any of the other feeders -- peanut, hulled sunflower, black
oil, thistle, orange halves. The big payoff from keeping the suet out that
summer was the day they brought their young--two lined up on a tree branch
near the feeder--and fed them the suet. They returned for several years to
our yard and feeder and then disappeared.
