A slow ride in to campus today along Paint Branch Stream
Valley Park was rewarded with a great view of a SWAINSON'S
THRUSH (on the river side between Metzerott and campus,
right near where the military trainees have build that
shelter out of heavy branches).

Other nice birds for the day: GREAT EGRET in the golf ponds,
WOOD DUCK (female) in the swamp, one WHITE-EYED VIREO near
Cherry Hill Rd and two WARBLING VIREOS on the 2nd bridge
south from Cherry Hill, and three BALTIMORE ORIOLES signing
in various places. Warblers included NORTHERN PARULA,
BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER, and BLACKPOLL WARBLER.
