While staring at the south end of Jug Bay from my inverted spackling
bucket the day before yesterday (24 May, 2004), i saw 3 birds flying south
and quickly got them in my binocular. Was i shocked to see they were
Black-necked Stilts!! Watched them for a whole minute (6:26 - 6:27).
Coincidentally, the only other A.A. Co. one i have seen (thank you Hal) was
about a hundred years ago at Sandy Pt. on a May 25th.
This is a new one for my yard list and brings my "2004 inverted bucket
sit" to 145 species; still got 30 to go to achieve my goal of 175 for the
year. After a very disappointing warbler migration, i am not sure i will
make it. That and the frequent sightings of Zabulon Skippers in my yard is
about it from here.

    Cidadaless in Bristol :-(
