I tried yesterday, July 7 from 10:30 to noon without success.  I found the
place very interesting and confirmed American Robin, Wood Duck, and American
Crow as breeders around or in the preserve.   I am now zero for four on
Purple Gallinule chases this year.  Maybe one more shot tomorrow before the
heat arrives, or when Gwen can come along.  It was reported being sighted in
the PM by Fred so finding this Bird, as with all Maryland Gallinules, is a
matter of luck or multiple eyes searching.
