I went out this morning along the creek about 10am. Not much moving, until
I reached the bridge which has young ash maples and mixed trees. A flock of
Chickadees and Titmice were making a lot of racket, the a large flock of robins, and
grackles flew in and suddenly a few warblers were in the trees. Birds of interest seen:
Warbling vireo, Blue headed Vireo, Canada Warbler, Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, along with a Veery. A Kingfisher and a Green Heron flew down the creek and out of view.
Migration is picking up.
Regards,
Diane Ford, Bethesda.
