10 hours of hiking produced hundreds of sparrows of 8 species. The most exciting was a NELSON'S SHARP TAILED that gave us wonderful looks, partial song and "seet" note. 4 LINCOLN'S SPARROWS in 2 different locations. We could not relocate white-crown and junco from the previous day and fell flat on vesper and grasshopper.
64 species for the day- non-sparrow highlights were
PURPLE FINCH, HERMIT THRUSH, BROWN CREEPER, OSPREY, TREE SWALLOWS and BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER.

A great day to be out!
