From school I headed south to Wades Point Inn to see if I could find the Harlequin Duck. The woman at the inn was very welcoming. I walked East from the parking area, checking along the rocky shore. I walked maybe 40 yards or so when i reached a little cove. Having not seen the bird yet along the rock edge, I scanned further East with my scope. The first bird i found was a female Bufflehead who was flying out into the bay. The next bird I found was the young Harlequin. It was about 5 feet from the rock edge, frequently diving. It was 125-150 yards East of the inn and parking area. Great state, county, and year bird!!!
