Mr Guerard.
I was wondering if you were aware of any openings for either internship
(paid or volunteer) at the grasslands. Peter Blank mentioned that it was
possible there would be some openings this year. Although I am only a
senior in high school i am a fairly serious and astute birder. Where, if
at all, could i get more information about the project?
Thank you for your time

Hello all,

Having seen Carol Schreter's post about the chimney swifts upcoming TV
debut, I wanted to send a note to inform everyone about the current
Outdoors Maryland. The Chester River Field Research Center's work on
the restored Eastern-shore grassland is being featured this week. For
those who are unfamiliar, this is a University of Maryland run project
that is entering it's seventh year. Many who were at last summers MOS
conference in Chestertown will remember Dr. Doug Gill who gave the
keynote address about the restored grassland project and the exciting
research that is taking place.

I am a bit biased but the cinematography was outstanding, with much
great footage of many of the species that are regular breeders in the
grassland. If anyone is interested in seeing this program it is being
re-aired on Feb. 19th at 5:30 pm. http://www.mpt.org/odm/

Have a great day!
