I had a Blue Jay feeding on my deck this morning, but it's the first one
I've seen in several months. Someone else mentioned an absence of
chickadees and they are also scarce so far this year. We have a couple of
white throated sparrows, a pair of Cardinals, a few goldfinches, nuthatches,
and a couple of Carolina wrens, but mostly still juncos and mourning doves
hanging around. Maybe because it's been colder than usual?
