In the early 90's we used to see Red Headed Woodpeckers all the time on
Little Seneca Lake. They lived in some old trees that died when the lake
was created. But we haven't seen them there for years. We've only seen an
Oriole twice, once in a bush next to the path around the lake (near South
Shore Harbour condos). I think the other time was at the visitor center for
Black Hill Regional Park, but it could have been at Seneca Creek State Park.
Poor little estrogen-deprived brain isn't as sharp as it used to be.
