Hi All,

This is a report for the last several days. I am sorry that it is late
and I wouldn't bother at this point, but I haven't seen at least one
species mentioned previously.

I went briefly to the Elms property on 4-19-05. Yellow-throated
Warblers were new for me for the year as well as possibly Common
Yellowthroats. I had heard Prairie Warblers before, but I saw 2 there.

That evening I had my first Ruby-throated Hummingbirds at home in Dameron.

On the morning of 4-20-05 in my woods I had Acadian Flycatcher and
Worm-eating Warbler. With that success I went on to Point Lookout State
Park. Near there I had my first Grasshopper Sparrows of the year. At
the Park I immediately saw a flyover Willet. House Wren was new for me
plus Black-and-White Warbler, Eastern Wood Pewee, Eastern Kingbird,
Blue-headed Vireo, White-eyed Vireo and then Cattle Egret after leaving
the Park. I also heard a Black-throated Green Warbler at Point Lookout.

Returning home I saw a Wood Thrush.

On my way home from Leonardtown after a doctor's appointment I saw a
Baltimore Oriole (4-20-05) on an Amish farm.

4-21-05 I had my first Summer Tanager early in the morning here at home
and some time later a Green Heron.

The lesson learned here is that if you don't bird for a while you see
lots of new birds at once!

Good Birding,
