Hi,
We had a nice Audubon Naturalist Society field trip
this morning led by Paul Pisano. I'll let him post a
full account. It was a nice morning, a good time to
be out for my first weekend birding in five weeks.
There was an immature Red-shouldered Hawk on the
ground near a picnic table feeding on something. The
most interesting bird for me was when I was apart from
the group: I studied a singing (Yellow) Palm Warbler
that did not have any reddish streaking on the
underparts. I so rarely encounter local singing Palm
Warblers that I took it in for as long as I could.
Happy sunny day!
