After the rain ended this morning (around 10am) my husband and I went for a walk through Idlywild Wildlife Management Area in Caroline County.
We had a successful morning! Here are the highlights...
White-eyed Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
Prothonotary Warbler
Ovenbird
Yellowrumped Warbler
Bluegray Gnatcatcher
White throated, field, chipping Sparrows
Green Heron
Brown Thrasher

Here at home we've seen
Blue Grosbeaks
Indigo Buntings
Bluebirds
Tree and Barn Swallows
Savannah, Chipping, Field, Whitethroated Sparrows
DC Cormorants (flyover)

We recently put up a martin house and have had a few stop by to look it over. And within a week of putting a Wood Duck box in our pond we have resident.

Good birding,
