Today while atlasing the Woodsboro NE block I saw three adult Common Mergansers (1 male, 2 females) on the Monocacy River at Millers Bridge west of Detour. Last year downy young were seen just downstream from here in another block. Anyone atlasing along the Monocacy should be on the lookout for more.
