I went to look for the Dickcissel today (with stops at Pickering Creek and
Tilghman Island). The directions were very easy to follow and I arrived at
the site at 1:30 pm. The male Dickcissel was perched in the tall weeds to
the left of the fill pile. He perched silently for about a minute and then
flew to a tree across the road and sang. A county bird for me.
Thanks Wayne and Les for the sighting and the excellent directions.
