After a quick trip to Schoolhouse Pond in Upper Marlboro, PG county, where
I found only a handful of common gulls, I made a stop to scope the geese
that frequent the cornfield at the corner of route 4 and Yellow Bank Road in
Dunkirk. Among the 450 or so Canadas was one orange-billed Greater
White-fronted Goose. No photos, maybe tomorrow.
Yesterday the Christmas "presents" at the feeders were 10 Purple Finches,at
least 5 males.
