I was in the National Arboretum (DC) this morning to do some birding.
The red-breasted nuthatch and hermit thrush were both back behind the
state tree area this time, in approximately the same area where some
were seen on the Christmas count.

Birds seen:

Sharp-shinned Hawk
Red-shouldered Hawk
Pileated Woodpecker
Golden-crowned Kinglet
Cedar Waxwing
Hermit Thrush
Red-breasted Nuthatch
Chipping Sparrow
Purple Finch

Good birding,

John Beetham
