Bill and others,
We never had a single Eurasian Wigeon in my 8 years
of survey there. Only Eurasian species we had in the
past was Barnacle Goose (not escapee), Emperor Goose,
and one other species I forgot, been years since we
shut down the exhibits due to money cut. Now with new
director here, things are getting better and new
exhibits are being rebuilt and a lot of repair done on
aviary. It'll be a while before we get the birds
back.
The wigeon you saw at the Marshy Creek was a wild
bird. I first saw it last winter and he returns again
this year.
Kevin
