Roosevelt Island, Wash. DC, 1 Mar 05, 1200-1300

A noontime walk on RI netted 16 species.  Best birds included 1 adult
Red-shouldered Hawk in the swamp perched eye-level on a snag and, a few
minutes later, 1 adult & 1 juvenile R-s Hawk soaring overhead.  Also of note
were 4 Troglodytes trogologdytes (I just love that name) at various
locations along the walk.
