Bonaparte's have been all over the North East River all winter. Today I stopped in and they were all up in the harbor and spread out over the creek area. Several are starting to get black heads. I was on the dock where the restaurant is and they were landing and flying as close as 10 feet away. It was a real treat considering how far away they always seem to be. I am keeping an eye out for Little Gull. Considering the numbers of Boneys it is a good possibility in my opinion. It would be a Cecil Life bird for me. If anyone comes up this way please keep checking it out.
I did see several flocks heading up the Susquehanna River earlier this week when I was heading to work in the morning.
