Birded some of Little Bennett on Thursday morning 4/6 (sorry for the
late post) -- highlights included:
2 Pine Warblers
1 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (heard only)
1 Brown Thrasher (also had a Brown Thrasher singing at Black Hill near
the boat ramp/small cove area on the same day)
1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet (singing repeatedly while foraging)
... and a singing/chipping territorial dispute between two Louisiana
Waterthrushes, with a third LOWA present -- great views of all three
bobbing/chipping/singing, etc.
On Friday afternoon, 4/7, at Little Bennett:
1 (Yellow) Palm Warbler (the best look I've ever had of a YPWA!)
1 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
6 PURPLE FINCHES (2 M and 4 F, with a F NOCA and a CACH in the same
tree -- I had never seen more than three PUFI at once, so that was
special!)
