Weather:
49-59 degrees; sunny; good visibility; winds calm or light and variable.

Raptor Observations:
A Sharp-shinned Hawk dove from the sky to the ground about 30 feet from us and took a Song Sparrow that was feeding on newly planted grass seed.

Non-raptor Observations:
Three Little Blue Herons;  yesterday neglected to mention three Glossy Ibis
and 9 Red-breasted Mergansers.

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD.  Best
winds are from the southwest.
