The proposed hunt at Soldiers Delight will be between September and January.
Under a Department of Natural Resources proposal, 20 licensed bowhunters a day would be permitted to shoot white-tailed deer inside a hunting area off the west side of Deer Park Road from Sept. 15 until Jan. 31, 2007.
Another 15 bowhunters per day would be allowed onto a more ecologically sensitive area east of Deer Park Road from Nov. 11 until Jan. 31.
