New bird for my Baseball Stadium checklist. A Red-headed Woodpecker flew
over Prince George's County Stadium last night, home of the Bowie Baysox. I
have visited quite a few baseball stadiums, but thanks to the Baysox, I think I
probably have the worlds largest checklist of this type. It's outfield
backs up to the Governors Bridge Road unit of the Patuxent River Park.
I won't say the crowd was thin last night, but the sound of the tree frogs
in the outfield seats was deafening.
