Sorry for late post...continuing prob's w/internert connection. On a fair, p-cldy
day at Lake Roland, a 4.5 hr hike in the area revealed 41 spp. of birds, includ-
ing 3 warblers. Nothing so good as Kevin Graff's sighting 2 days earlier of the
Olive-sided Flycatcher. Some of the more notable birds follow:

Great Egret
YC Night Heron
Least S'piper
L. Yellowlegs
BARRED OWL
RT Hummingbird
ALL woodpeckers, except Sapsucker & Red-headed (okay, Red-cockaded too)
E. Bluebird
Yellow-throated Vireo--heard
B & W Warbler
Magnolia Warbler
N. Waterthrush

Also, sightings of a female Red Fox & 18" Garter Snake; plus, my favorite: a
Pleurocybella porrigens, a small, white oyster-like mushroom called
Angel's Wings (deemed good to eat)!!

Best,
