Hi All,

Sarah Warner and I saw the Great White Heron at Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge
this afternoon. We watched the bird from the observation tower at the end of
the Tubby Cove Trail. We also watched a Least Flycatcher feed for several
minutes. A couple from New York told us they had seen a Brown-headed
Nuthatch yesterday in the pines along the main road. There were several
Pied-billed Grebes, a Lesser Scaup, and two Royal Terns around Tubby Cove as
well. At Great Oak Pond the Canvasback, and Lesser Scaup were still there as
well as two Purple Martins. Farther north at a farm pond was a Tundra Swan
and a Purple Martin. Another highlight was a Peregrine Falcon along Rt. 213
in Cecil County. Warblers were slim, maybe tomorrow...

Good Birding!

Hans
